African Teas Market is the wholesale ingredient division of Saafara, a West African botanicals company founded in 2011 by Ismael Diagne. For more than a decade, Saafara has brought Senegal’s traditional herbs like bissap, kinkeliba and baobab to customers in the United States.
Today we supply the same botanicals in bulk to manufacturers. We work directly with harvesters and processors across Senegal and coordinate quality and export from Dakar. Sales and client service run from San Francisco, so buyers in Asia, Europe and the Americas have one point of contact.
Our aim is simple: make Senegalese botanicals a reliable, documented ingredient that a sourcing manager can build a product line on.
